Truefiit And Hill can be considered to be one of the oldest men's salon in the world. It was certified by the Guinness Book Of World Records in April 2000. It was established in 1805 by a business tycoon, William Francis Truefitt. He was initially working as the royal hair dresser in the British Royal Court. His first client was a prisoner, who had received the Royal Warrant from King George III. In 1911, a barber shop was set up by Edwin Hillat the Old Bond Street, which could be considered to be the royal neighbor of the Queen. Edward was William's nephew, so William into this address and they both re-established the salon as Truefitt And Hill.
Other branches i.e. other regional outlets were submerged into the prevailing company in 1941. Later on in 1994, it was shifted to 71 St.James's Street. In addition, its branches are also set up in Toronto in Canada and at Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The famous clients of Truefitt And Hill include the British Royal Family, business tycoons, Members of Parliament, staff of the Royal Palace, Ambassadors. Today this salon has managed to hold a Royal warrant, by appointment to the Prince Philip, Duke Of Edinburgh. This particular company has now become a world wide brand name, mainly in the field of men's grooming accessories.
